The McVille Community Library is happy to announce that former President Roosevelt will be visiting McVille to join in celebrating the library’s 14th anniversary. The appearance will take place on July 17th at the City Auditorium. This event will kick-off the McVille Days Celebration being held Friday-Sunday, July18-20.
According to Teddy Roosevelt, “The best prize that life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing”. Repriser Adam Lindquist has followed that motto as he impersonates Roosevelt across the country, from schools to conventions, board rooms to theaters and now to share his talent with our community in honor of the library celebration.
Lindquist is often asked how he got started being Teddy. He responded that in a photo of the 26th President he saw a striking resemblance. After research, he discovered he was the same height and weight, with the same color eyes and hair as Roosevelt. Since 2007, Lindquist has been recreating an amazing, multi-faceted man. Lindquist engages thousands of people each year by “Being Teddy”. We, at the library, are looking forward to bringing “Teddy” to our community. Refreshments will be served. There is no admission charge. We look forward to celebrating the library anniversary with you.
LET’S GIVE TEDDY ROOSEVELT A BIG McVILLE WELCOME.
